I've admitted it in the past, and I'll admit it again: I'm a sucker for packaging. From spaghetti sauces to panty hose boxes to cosmetics, I'm almost always going to go for the package that appeals best. Of course, sometimes the packaging will fool you. However, for the post part, a company that invests that much time in making its product look good has spent a good chunk of time perfecting the product itself.Perfume makers know that packaging is a deal breaker for many women; that a pretty bottle is just as important as the way their fragrance smells. Personally, I prefer to set all my perfumes out on display. Mostly because I like how they all look together -- like a happy, content little family of woodsy musks, invigorating citrus and feminine florals -- but also so that I don't neglect any. The prettier the bottle (along with rave reviews), the more apt I am to buy and add to my collection.
